Fun Weekend

Hubby and I spent the whole weekend at our cabin in Shawnee National Forest. We hauled down the kitchen cabinets, frig and stove. It is looking more like a liveable cabin every trip we make. Soon the countertop will be installed and the hide-a bed-couch and we will be ready for visitors.

The weather was excellant all weekend. On Saturday it was a little rainy so we decided to visit KY Amish area and stopped at several households and got some goods to bring back, i.e. cheeses, cinn rolls and fried pies. While in KY, the hubby decided to stop and check out a few gun shops--we found a gun case for the granddaughters Christmas present (My First Gun--a Pink laminated stock, SS barrel--Cricket).

The weather was great for campfires. The bugs have not yet emerged and the poison ivy is just starting. Some of the trees were in full bloom also the forsythia bushes. Daffodils all over the roadsides--they just yelled---Spring is in the Air.

It's a first for me

I never in my life thought I would be doing this.

As if trying to stay up with Facebook and My Space wasn't already enough, I had to go and blog--but what about, that is the big question.

I read several blogs, but who wants to hear about my stuff.

I am happy with my life and love spending as much time as possible with my lovely granddaughter and of course her family.

I am looking for the weather to warm up because there is so much more we can do outside in warmer weather. She has a new bike and a John Deere Gator and I can't wait to play outside with her--she is 3 now and so much fun--not that she hasn't been fun for the last 3 years but she now has a voice of her own, oh and is very opinionated (just like her mommy)

All for now--gotta see how this turns out
